Acupuncture tools used in Traditional Chinese Medicine at NEXT Clinic.

How it works, what to expect, and what it can treat.

When most people think of acupuncture, they picture thin needles and relief from back pain — but Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is much more than that. It’s a complete, time-tested system of holistic care that includes Herbal Medicine, Dietary Therapy, Cupping, Chinese Massage, Moxibustion, and Lifestyle Guidance.

Each treatment plan at NEXT is uniquely tailored to the individual — because no two people, and no two healing journeys, are the same.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a gentle, natural way to support health at every stage of life. By inserting ultra-thin needles at specific points on the body, it helps restore balance and activate your body’s innate healing processes.

Many women turn to acupuncture for menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy wellness, hormonal balance, and menopause support. It also helps with stress, sleep, digestion, and emotional well-being.

Whether you’re addressing specific concerns or simply want to feel more in tune with your body’s rhythms, acupuncture offers a safe, restorative approach to wellness.

Cupping

Cupping uses specialized cups to create a gentle vacuum on the skin, increasing blood flow, easing muscle tension, and promoting the smooth movement of qi and blood throughout the body.

It’s commonly used for pain, stiffness, inflammation, and respiratory conditions such as colds or asthma. Temporary circular marks may appear after treatment — these are normal and part of the healing process.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Herbal prescriptions in TCM use customized blends of natural botanicals to restore harmony and support the body’s self-healing abilities.

Formulas are individualized to address root causes rather than surface symptoms and can help with a wide range of women’s health and general wellness concerns.

When guided by a trained practitioner, Chinese herbs are a safe, gentle way to nurture the body and restore balance.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion involves burning dried mugwort near specific acupuncture points. The penetrating warmth stimulates circulation, supports qi flow, and strengthens vitality.

It’s often used for internal cold, digestive issues, chronic pain, or fatigue.

Tui Na (Chinese Massage)

Tui Na is a therapeutic massage that combines precise hand techniques — pushing, kneading, and rolling — to release muscle tension, improve mobility, and restore balance.

It’s commonly used for back pain, arthritis, headaches, and stress. Often, Tui Na is combined with acupuncture or herbs for an integrated approach to healing.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha uses a smooth tool to gently scrape the skin in rhythmic strokes, increasing circulation, easing tension, and promoting natural healing. It’s often applied to the neck, shoulders, or back for deep relief and relaxation.

Yang Sheng Fa — “Nourishing Life”

Yang Sheng Fa is the art of health preservation — daily habits that help maintain balance and prevent illness through mindfulness and alignment with nature’s rhythms.

This includes:
• Eating seasonally and intuitively
• Prioritizing rest and restorative sleep
• Managing stress and emotions
• Gentle, regular movement (like Tai Chi or Qigong)
• Breathing exercises and meditation

It’s about living in harmony with your body and environment — a sustainable path to lasting health and longevity.

What to Expect

Your first visit includes a detailed health history, pulse and tongue assessment, and a discussion of your current concerns.

Each session is customized — often combining acupuncture, cupping, massage, and herbal guidance — to best support your system. You’ll leave with at-home recommendations for continued progress.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Natural radiance, rooted in tradition.
Cosmetic acupuncture is a holistic, non-invasive approach to glowing, youthful skin — no injections, no chemicals, no downtime.

How It Works

Using ultra-fine needles, facial Gua Sha, and gentle cupping, this treatment helps to:
• Stimulate collagen and elastin
• Improve circulation and lymph flow
• Reduce fine lines and puffiness
• Brighten dull skin
• Lift and tone facial muscles
• Support hormonal and digestive balance for healthier skin

Each treatment includes body acupuncture to address internal factors like stress or hormones — because true beauty starts from within.

Typical Treatment Plan

• Series: 10–12 sessions (1–2 per week)
• Maintenance: Once a month or as needed
• Duration: 60–75 minutes per session

You can expect a subtle glow after the first few sessions and more visible lifting and smoothing by treatments 5–7. There’s no downtime, and any mild redness resolves quickly.

Cosmetic acupuncture isn’t just about appearance — it’s a full-body rejuvenation experience that promotes confidence, vitality, and balance.
